Sophisticated San Francisco based Haran brings her considerable skills to re-explore the great American songbook. Her trademark meticulous research into her carefully selected material is as important as the songs themselves. Having made major contributions to the centennial celebrations of both Dorothy Parker and Lorenz Hart, she has recently turned her attention to a celebration of the Gershwin centennial. Her long time collaborator on both piano and vocals is Sir Richard Rodney Bennett. Performances include: Pizza on the Park - London; The Oak Room- NYC Recordings include: Pennies From Heaven This Funny World This Heart of Mine The Memory Of All That What The Critics Say: “….a purity of intention and musical insight one rarely encounters on any stage” Stephen Holden, New York Times
