Having grown up in Long Island City, Baby Jane first came to prominence as a performer at The Improvisation comedy club and then opened the Paradise Room, performing alongside the likes of Karen Akers and Peter Allen. After a lengthy personal struggle against depression, Baby Jane re-emerged in the mid-80's to perform at the Lincoln and Kennedy Centers for the Names Project Quilt, a National AIDS memorial.

During the 90's, Baby Jane re-took the New York cabaret scene by storm, establishing herself as a favourite at Eighty Eights and garnering numerous MAC awards. Baby Jane's tireless work for youth charities and her performance workshops for women battling against depression, homelessness and the effects of rape and domestic violence have established her as a major force for healing and regeneration in both New York and across America.
