Mary Foster Conklin has been drawing acclaim for her performances since 1986 when she first started appearing in Jazz clubs and cabarets.

Never really happy to belong to only one style of music, Mary’s skill has been to try to make the cross over between jazz and cabaret whilst at the same time keeping fans of each genre happy.

So it is of no surprise to discover that her performances might well combine both standards and original material from a number of different sources. ’Crazy Eyes’ is her debut recording and was listed by In Theatre magazine as one of the best CDs of 1998.

Performances include:

Cabaret Convention, Town Hall NYC

Recordings include:

Crazy Eyes

Awards include:

1999 MAC Award for Jazz Vocalist,

1999 Bistro Award for Outstanding Recording

What The Critics Say:

“Vocally Conklin is a cross between a tenor sax and a clarinet; her tones rich and husky. But what makes her stand out is the insight and intelligence behind her choice of songs”

Wayman Wong, New York Daily News
